Squacquerone, is one of the most popular cheeses in the Emilia Romagna region of Northern Italy. This versatile and soft fresh curd cheese has a delicately tangy flavour, reminiscent of natural yogurt. Spread on fresh crusty bread with olive oil and fresh herbs or with jam for a sweet snack. May also used in wraps or melted in pasta fillings, on pizza or in sweet dishes such as cheesecakes.
